- Rhizomes are roots that are similar to leaves and grow horizontally underground. It’s a root-system looking like a plant, underneath.
- Rhizomes are a cultural concept. Their interconnection makes them resist to the vertical reading of causality. It’s all shared influence, without a start or an end.
- Rizome is also a fictional multinational corporation in the novel “Islands in the Net” by Bruce Sterling (That I strongly recommend).
At last, humbly, there’s a photographer (me) named like that with a curious point of view on his whereabouts. My name is Gwen Heliou, I am an amateur photographer located between Montréal and Barcelona.
